…yet!!!
I showed you the well wishes project not too long ago. Well, I decided to give it a try, but of course, I have to make it my own! I really didn’t want to make the WHOLE thing embroidered, so I took some off white linen and used water colors to paint it.
I started working on the tree first, since that is what drew me to the project in the first place. So, here’s what’s in my hoop right now:
Since I have spent so many hours working on this I took a BUNCH of pictures!!
You can see the felt I put behind some of the layers to create more dimension.
I have learned one thing, though I still love french knots…I absolutely HATE bullion knots! I had a terrible time making them even! At least it’s a tree trunk and they aren’t perfectly even anyways.

Hello from Michigan, I just discovered your blog from HEN. I ordered this same magazine a week ago and received it Sat. The ( I call it The Cherry Blossom Tree) is truly beautiful. Your French Knots are fantastic. I hope my first attempt turns out as good as yours. Hugs Judy
